How to use IdeaDrop

Follow these steps and you’ll be up and running in under 5 minutes.

STEP 2

Start IdeaDrop

Choose whichever method is easier — both lead to the same place.

🔍

Option 1 — Open directly with the button Recommended

Tap the button below and Telegram will open directly in the IdeaDrop chat.
Telegram must already be installed on your device.

📱 Open IdeaDrop in Telegram
⌨️

Option 2 — Search in Telegram

Open Telegram and tap the search icon (🔍) at the top.
Copy and paste or type the username exactly: @ideadrop_en_bot

The account named “IdeaDrop” will appear in the results.
Tap it to open the chat.

▶️

Tap the START button

A [START] button will appear at the bottom of the chat. Tap it.
If you don’t see it, scroll down.

Once IdeaDrop sends a welcome message, you’re all set. 🎉
Start speaking or typing right away.

STEP 3

Connect Google Calendar (Optional)

💡 Calendar connection is optional.

You can save and search ideas right away without it. Only follow these steps when you want the scheduling and event lookup features.

⌨️

Type the command in the chat

Type /connect_google and send it.

🔗

Tap the Google account connect button

IdeaDrop will send a [Connect Google Account] button.
Tap it to open the Google sign-in screen.

Select your account and grant permission

Choose the Google account you want to use and grant calendar access.
A completion message will appear in your browser.
Calendar features in IdeaDrop will be available immediately.

Typing /connect_google command in Telegram
① Type /connect_google

② Tap the connect button

③ Select your account
Google unverified app warning screen
④ Warning screen → Continue
IdeaDrop app permission grant screen
⑤ Grant permission → Continue
Google Calendar connection complete screen
⑥ Connection complete ✅

💡 “Google hasn’t verified this app” is a normal message.

Google shows this for services that haven’t yet completed their official verification process (which takes months and costs money). IdeaDrop only accesses calendar read/write permissions — nothing else.

Read the Privacy Policy → On mobile, tap ‘Continue’ on the warning screen (step ④ above). On desktop Chrome, click ‘Advanced’ → ‘Go to site (unsafe)’.
How to use

Try it this way

Speak naturally and IdeaDrop understands. The phrases below make it even faster and more precise.

💾

Save an idea

“Oh right I need to replace my tires…”

Say it however you like. No complete sentences needed.

🔁

Idea → Event

“Schedule this”

Works right after saving or viewing an idea.
“Schedule this” is all you need to say.

📅

Book an event

“Call Alex — schedule it”

Title + “schedule it” — the bot asks for the time and saves it to your calendar.

🗓️

Check schedule

“What’s on today?”

Day or week + “schedule” gives you an instant list.

🔍

Keyword search

“Search: investment”

Keyword + “search” finds saved ideas. Two keywords filters to items containing both.

AI related search

“Related search: mom”

Keyword + “related search” — finds ideas connected by meaning, not just exact words.

📌 Good to know before you start

AI takes a moment

Results may not appear instantly after you send

AI is processing your input. Give it a second — you’ll get used to the rhythm quickly.

🎙️

Wait 1 second before speaking

Hold → wait 1 second → then speak

Speaking immediately after pressing record can cut off the beginning of your message.

Something just crossed your mind, didn’t it?

Don’t let it slip.
Just say it before it’s gone.
